Advanced Courses:

It is aimed at organizing short-term certified training programs during the pre-conference period and throughout the conference, the aim is to increase the level of utilization of the participants and to strengthen the student-academic global-practice ability. For this purpose, it is envisaged that training programs will be organized on the mentioned subjects below and certificate programs and courses will be held between January 23 and January 30, 2023 in the Department of real estate development and management lecture rooms and conference halls. Certificate programs will be supervised by considering enough participation and decision made by the authority of the Department of Real Estate Development and Management.

Workshop on Valuation Organizations:

Before the commencement of the conference, the workshop called “Role and Structure of Valuation Organizations in Developed and Developing Countries” will be expected to hold on 29 January 2023 with the participation of selected local and foreign academicians and licensed appraisers and organizations. The main theme of the workshop is; mass appraisal, and especially in the public sector, discussion of the valuation organization for property tax, title deed, value increase gain, and other central government taxes and local taxes; and in this process, managers and experts of RICS, IVSC, TEGoVA, TDUB and other professional organizations, TKGM and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance will bring together and will constitute the base of tax reform envisaged by the New Economic Program, 11th Development Plan and 2023 Fiscal Year Fiscal Budget Law. The structure and functioning of the valuation system and the good practice model will be discussed. Besides these, during the conference three (3) important workshops such as “Affordable Housing Policies and Social Housing Strategies”, “Securitization Models and Practices” and “Conservation Economics and Sustainability Value”, are planned to organise.

Graduate Students’ Presentation Sessions:

The last day of the conference will be separated partially or completely to research and presentations of real estate undergraduate and graduate students of Ankara University and other universities in Turkey and foreign universities. Awards and certificates will be awarded for successful undergraduate students and, successful publications for graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) that are planning to organize for the first time in Turkey. Thesis presentations and the evaluation of publications will be made by a jury of at least 10 people selected from the panel of judges and the results will be announced at the closing date of the conference. The presentations of the projects made by the 4th year undergraduate students of the Department of Real Estate Development and Management at Ankara University within the scope of the real estate and asset analysis course will also be organised. The Alumni Association of the Department of real estate development and management and student communities will also be allowed to make presentations. In addition, special attention shall be paid to open promotional stands of several associations such as RICS, IVSC, TEGoVA, ERES, and TDUB and special attention shall be paid to contributing to aware corporate organizations of real estate development and management expertise.
